Visions and Values

Our Vision Statement

‘where we play, learn and grow together’

Ensuring our children reach their full potential in a safe, collaborative and challenging environment; where they are motivated and engaged in their learning, leading to high attainment and their own aspirational view of their future.

Our Mission Statement

Scartho Infants’ School and Nursery believes in fostering positive relationships. We aspire to equip every child with the skills they need for lifelong learning, striving for excellence every day, to create independent, articulate thinkers and learners who have the confidence to achieve their ambitions. We provide a carefully planned and sequenced, creative and challenging curriculum. We encourage our pupils to grow into responsible, independent learners. We prepare them to encounter opportunities with resilience, perseverance and self-determination.

Our Vision and Mission drives us in our pursuit of high quality academic progress for all, as they grow in a safe, collaborative and challenging environment where they are motivated and engaged in their learning, leading to high attainment and their own aspirational view of their future.

Scartho Citizen Values

I am…
The cornerstones of being a SCARTHO Citizen are that:
These run through our curriculum to ensure:

Self-aware

I recognise my strengths and weaknesses.

We value the spiritual and moral development of each person as well as their intellectual and physical growth, showing courtesy and respect towards other’s beliefs, religions and cultures, accepting that we are all different.

Caring

I show kindness and concern for others.

We value the importance of each person in our school. We organise our curriculum so that we promote co-operation and understanding between all members of our community.  We support our learning, looking after ourselves, each other and the world.

Articulate

I am a good communicator.

We aim to enable each person to have a voice and be successful in our school.

Respectful

I care that what I say or do affects others.

We value the rights enjoyed by each person in our society. We value the way in which all children are unique and our curriculum promotes respect for the views of each individual child.  We understand the need to treat others how we would want to be treated.

Thoughtful

I think about and consider the people around me.

We value our environment and we aim, through our curriculum, to teach children to take responsibility for our world and how we should care for it for future generations, as well as our own.

Honest

I am truthful in what I say and do.

We accept each child in our school for who they are and we treat them with fairness and honesty. Our school is a safe place for children to be themselves, trusting that they are: known, heard, accepted and challenged to fly. We take responsibility for the mistakes we make; learning from them and understand that choices have consequences for ourselves, others and/or the environment.

Organised

I can sort my things so they can be found or used easily.

We value behaviours demonstrating active listening and readiness to learn. Each day is a fresh start so our learning is fun and engaging, enabling us to be the best that we can be. We promote both collaborative and independent learning.
